ABOUT THE ONLINE FINAL EXAM RESULTS (15 FEBRUARY 2026)

The results of the Online Final Exams held on 15 February 2026 are available in the Student Panels as of 26 February 2026.

Students may download from their panels:

• Exam Results
• Achievement Certificates
• Digital Medal Certificates

GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE ONLINE FINAL EXAM RESULTS 

• Teachers who have students registered under their accounts can download individual student results via the Teacher Panel. Downloading the results or certificates as a group is not available.
• The Top 10 students have been announced on the official International STEM Olympiad Instagram and Facebook accounts.
• Exam questions and answers may be published as Past Papers in the upcoming season.
• Corrections to the names of registered students can be made. However, these corrections do not affect materials that have already been published. The changes will appear only on documents issued after the correction date.
• Detailed individual exam analysis (which questions were answered correctly or incorrectly) and official solutions cannot be provided.
• The Top 3 students in each grade will receive medals and printed certificates by mail. Shipments will begin in April. An email will be sent to these students requesting their postal address.
• Students who are not in the Top 3 but have won a GOLD medal will not receive a physical medal by mail and are not eligible for any Grand Final discount.
• Students who are not in the Top 3 will not receive medals or printed certificates by mail. However, they may download their digital achievement certificates and digital medal certificates from their Student Panels. These certificates include a QR code for verification.
• Only students who place in the top 3 in all categories and grades, based on the Online Final and BOB Final exam results, will receive medals by post. Other students, even if they qualify, will not receive or be able to buy medals.
• If students have the same total score, the student who completed the exam faster and answered more questions correctly will be ranked higher. Students who achieved a full score (100 points) are ranked based on completion time only.
• For tied scores within the Top 20 ranking, camera recordings and screen share monitoring were evaluated before considering time spent.
• A total of 195 students’ exams have been invalidated.
• The results of 54 students have been frozen pending explanation. When these students log in, they will see the following message:
• "Your exam has been flagged by our monitoring system!"

If these students are confident that their camera and screen sharing were enabled and they did not violate any exam rules, they may send an email to info@stemolympiad.org with their explanation.

ABOUT THE ONLINE FINAL EXAM SCORE CALCULATION

1) Points System

The exam report provides details on the number of correct, incorrect, and unanswered (blank) questions, along with the total score and time spent on the exam.

Scoring System:

• Correct Answer: +4 points
• Incorrect Answer: –1 point
• Blank Answer: 0 points

2) Tab Issue Deductions 

• A 0.5-point deduction was applied each time a student opened another browser tab during the exam.
• No points were deducted for the first 5 tab issues. Students who had up to 5 tab issues did not lose any points.
• Point deductions started from the 6th tab issue onward. The maximum total deduction due to tab issues was limited to 10 points.
• If you believe your tab issues were caused by a technical problem, you may email us to submit an appeal. Camera recordings will be reviewed.
• If camera recording was not enabled, objections cannot be evaluated.

3) Appeal Deadline

• Appeals must be submitted by 28 February 2026.
• Appeals submitted after this date will not be considered, and no changes will be made to the exam results.
• If camera recording was not enabled, objections cannot be evaluated.

ABOUT GRAND FINAL DISCOUNTS

According to the Online Final Exam results: 

• Students who have earned a Grand Final discount will have this discount indicated in their exam report papers. These students received Gold-1, Gold-2, or Gold-3. Other Gold, Silver, or Bronze medals do not have a Grand Final discount.
• In the Math and Science categories, the Top 3 students of Grades 3, 4, and 5 have earned 75%, 50%, and 25% Grand Final discounts, respectively.
• In the Technology & Engineering category, the Top 3 students of all grades have earned 75%, 50%, and 25% Grand Final discounts, respectively.
• For Grades 6–11 in the Math and Science categories, Grand Final discounts will be determined according to the BOB Exam results.
• Students who have earned a discount and wish to attend the Grand Final must apply within 15 days after the announcement of the results. Late applications will be accepted only if quota is available.
• At the Grand Final award ceremony, only the top 3 students from the online exams receive their medals on stage. Other students who have earned medals will not be presented with a medal.

ABOUT THE BOB EXAMS

• Students from Grades 6–11 in the Math and Science categories who have earned a GOLD medal according to the Online Final Exam results are eligible to participate in the BOB Exams.
• BOB Exams are free of charge. No additional registration is required. BOB Exam Cards will be activated on 27 February 2026.
• Students who have qualified for BOB in two categories may take the exam in both categories.
• Two cameras are required for the BOB Exams. Connection methods:
  > Scan the QR code to use your mobile phone as the primary camera and your device’s camera as the secondary camera.
  > Use two mobile phones by scanning the QR code for both devices.
  > Use your computer’s built-in camera as the primary camera and a wired external camera as the secondary camera.
• Screen sharing is mandatory.
• Students who do not connect two cameras and enable screen sharing will receive only a participation certificate, regardless of their score.
• In the BOB Exams, only the Top 3 students receive Gold 1, Gold 2, and Gold 3 medals and achievement certificates. All other participants receive a digital participation certificate.
• BOB Exams are conducted only in English.
• The BOB Exams consist of 30 questions. Duration: 60 minutes.
• A Technical Trial Test for two-camera connection and screen sharing will be held on 27–28 February 2026. No questions will be asked during this trial.

BOB EXAM TIMES

• BOB exams take place only on 1 March - Sunday. Exam times are fixed. It is not possible to take the exam on another day or at a different time.
• Exam times are in your local time and NOT open for 24 hours.
• You can confirm your exam time by checking your Exam Card, which shows the remaining time until your exam.

ABOUT THE FINAL EXAMS on 15 FEBRUARY 2026 - Sunday

• Final exam cards for students who have advanced to the final have been assigned to their student panels. Please check your exam cards.
• Only students who qualified for the Final Exam based on their results in the 1st or 2nd Qualification Exams may participate in the Online Final Exam.
  
• The Online Final Exam is FREE.
• A make-up or a separate exam will not be provided if you miss this exam for any reason.
• Online Final Exam Date: 15 February 2026
• Students do not need to register again or take any action for the Final exams.
• The Online Final Exams are NOT OPEN FOR 24 HOURS.
• Exam Times (In your local time. Please follow the countdown on your exam cards.)

• The exam duration is 60 minutes. The exam starts exactly on time and ends when the time is up. Late arrivals will not be granted extra time, and their exam time will be considered elapsed.
• Grade changes are not allowed for the Final and BOB exams. Students are required to take these exams in the same grade level in which they took the Qualification exam.
• If your country has more than one time zone, please follow the time shown on your EXAM CARD in the student panel. Even if you are in another country on the exam day, the countdown on your exam card will still be valid.

Results Published: STEM Olympiad Qualification Round-2 (1 February 2026)

The results of the STEM Olympiad Qualification Round first exam, held on 1 February 2026, are now available. You can download the exam report and participation certificates from your student panel.

Important information regarding the exam results and the next steps: 

1. This exam is only for qualification. The results will decide which students can join the STEM online FINAL EXAM on 15 February 2026.
2. There are no medals or special rankings for this exam. All students who took the exam receive a Certificate of Participation. The ranking in the report compares only the students who took this exam. If students have the same score, the time they spent on the exam is used for ranking.
3. The exam report shows the number of correct, incorrect, and blank answers and the total score. Scoring system: Correct answer: +4 points / Incorrect answer: –1 point / Blank answer: 0 points. The minimum scores required to be qualified are: 4 points for Grades 1, 2, and 3; 32 points for Grades 4, 6, 8, and 10; 36 points for Grades 5, 7, 9, and 11; and 40 points for Grade 12.
   
4. Finishing time is not very important in the Qualification Exam. In the Final Exam, if two students have the same score, the student who finishes earlier may get the higher medal.
5. About Tab Issue Deductions
   - A 0.5-point deduction applies when another browser tab is opened.
   - Students who had up to 4 tab issues did not lose any points.
   - If you believe your tab issues were caused by a technical problem, please email us. Your camera recording will be reviewed.
6. First and Second Qualification Exams
   - ​Being qualified in either the first or the second exam is sufficient to be eligible to take the final exam.
   - No scores from the qualification exams are carried over to the final.
7. About the Online Final and BOB Exams
   - Students who qualify from the 1st or 2nd Qualification Exam can join the Online Final Exam.
   - The Online Final Exam is FREE.
   - Online Final Exam Date: 15 February 2026
   - Students do not need to register again or take any action for the Final exams. The exam cards will automatically appear in the student panels 3 days before the exam.
   - The Online Final Exams are NOT OPEN FOR 24 HOURS.
   - It will happen at fixed local times of each country: Math - 09:00 AM / Science - 11:00 AM / Tech & Engineering - 13:00 (1:00 PM)
   - If your country has more than one time zone, please follow the time shown on your EXAM CARD in the student panel. Even if you are in another country on the exam day, the countdown on your exam card will still be valid.
   - The exam duration is 60 minutes. The exam starts exactly on time and ends when the time is up. Late arrivals will not be granted extra time, and their exam time will be considered elapsed.
   - Grade changes are not allowed for the Final and BOB exams. Students are required to take these exams in the same grade level in which they took the Qualification exam.
   - Technical reminders and conditions regarding the Final exams will be published on 12 February 2026.
   - After the online Final Exam, students may receive medals and certificates of achievement.
   - Students in grades 6–11 who receive GOLD can join the BOB Exams.
   - BOB Exam Date: 1 March 2026
   - BOB Exams are FREE and given only in English.
   - Students do not need to register again or take any action for the BOB exams. The exam cards will automatically appear in the student panels 3 days before the exam.
   - Please remember that there are no additional materials to be shared other than the syllabus and study materials already provided.
   - There is no new trial exam for the Final or BOB Exams.
8. About the STEM Grand Final Rome Program
   - To join the Grand Final, students must participate in at least one online Qualification Exam.
   - No medal, special score, or ranking is required for Grand Final attendance.
   - You do not need to take the Final or BOB exams to apply for the Grand Final.
   - ​Grand Final registration is ongoing.
   - Early Bird discounts will be available based on deadlines and limited capacity.
   - The Early Bird Discount deadline has been extended until 21 February 2026.
   - Important: Students should check the Italy Schengen visa process early. In some countries, it may take 3–6 months.
   - Grand Final discounts are based on the Final Exam and BOB Exam results and will be applied to the remaining balance.
   

Important reminder: Students who receive a Grand Final discount will always have a reserved place, so there is no need to worry about losing a spot. They may wait for the Final Exam and BOB Exam results before confirming their registration; however, they are responsible for managing their own visa processes. Students who earn a Top 3 discount must complete their Grand Final registration within 10 days after the BOB Exam results are announced. Otherwise, they will lose both their discount and their reserved place.

Students who receive the minimum required points according to the table below will be eligible to compete in the Final Round.
