Instead, the olympiad adopts an innovative format where students engage in hands-on, ready-made experiments at science centers. 2. Are there any elimination processes to participate in the olympiad? Do students need to pass an exam at school or in our country before participating? There are no pre-qualifications or exams required to participate in the STEM Olympiad. All students and teachers who are interested in science are welcome to join. However, students who have previously participated in the STEM Online exams will have priority when attending the STEM Grand Final. 3. Should only exceptionally intelligent or olympiad-level students participate in this event? Not at all. The STEM Olympiad is designed to encourage and inspire students of all levels who have an interest in science. Our goal is to foster curiosity and enthusiasm for science in students, regardless of their prior experience. We welcome all students and teachers with an interest in science to participate. 4. Will there be an exam or assessment during the experiments and activities at the Science Center? No, there are no exams or assessments during the experiments and activities at the Science Centers. Students are encouraged to explore the experiments freely with their group and teacher. They will have the opportunity to review any available explanations and engage in discussions about the experiments. The questions during the olympiad will primarily be related to the experiments and information explored at the Science Center, allowing students to apply what they've learned in a fun and engaging way. 5. Is there a limit to the number of participants? Is there a quota for each country? The participant quota for the STEM Grand Final is 700 students and 90 teachers in total. The maximum number of participants from each country is 40 students and 5 teachers. If there is space left in the overall quota, groups on the waiting list may be invited. Once teachers register their groups and submit them via the Grand Final application platform, no changes or additions can be made.
